Introducing C3G Canada: A National Network for Complement-Mediated Glomerular Disease
News

C3 Glomerulopathy (C3G) Canada is launching as a national, non-profit physician network. It brings together clinicians with expertise in C3G and related complement-mediated glomerular diseases, including idiopathic immune-complex membranoproliferative glomerulonephritis (IC-MPGN). The network’s new website is now live as its central hub.
Why Now
C3G and IC-MPGN are rare kidney diseases. Despite current treatment, nearly half of patients may reach kidney failure within a decade. New complement testing and emerging therapies, including iptacopan and pegcetacoplan, are changing what’s possible. Canadian nephrologists need shared guidance on diagnosis, testing, and treatment selection.
Our Mission
To advance the understanding, diagnosis, and management of C3G and IC-MPGN in Canada through education, research, and the exchange of knowledge.
